Design Style: The “Zari-by-Zari” is drapery’s own in-house weaving technique that is constructed by zari yarns woven as weft against zari warp yarns. This forging of the zari yarn results in stronger weave as well as emanating zari in all its shining glory. Colourful silk yarns are added to enhance the legibility of the motifs and pattens. This saree is Drapery’s nod to the venerated patterns of a silk saree namely “the kattam”, “the chakram” and “the getti border” woven using pure golden zari in traditional hues of red and green. -
